Events Intern, 4 month contract (£25,000 per annum)

About the role 

As an Events Intern, in this four-month placement, you’ll work within Immediate’s internal Events team. You’ll support at our legendary IMFestival, whilst also giving administrational support for other events taking place over the summer months. The Events Team works closely with the wider People Team, as well as many other brands & teams across Immediate. 

 

As an Event Intern on a four-month placement, you will;  

  • Be on runner at the IMFestival, supporting the Events Team on all tasks during the day.  This can be from running the information desk, setting up workshops, liaising with suppliers, to derigging at the end of the day. 
  • Support Event Executives on All Company Connection Days, by helping with registration pages, speaker liaison and other ad hoc duties. 
  • Research ideas and creative content for events as directed by the Event Executives. 
  • Support Event Executives on Radio Times Soap Awards in July, helping to manage the guest list, liaise with suppliers and be a general extra pair of hands. 
  • General office admin, including raising PO’s, organising the events cupboard and any other ad hoc duties.  

Requirements

  • An interest in events 
  • Excellent organisational skills  
  • Happy to work extended hours at short notice when appropriate and work late if the event requires, plus 1 weekend for the RT soap awards 
  • Strong IT skills, including PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel and Google Docs 
  • Great verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Good social media skills 
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
