DT Swiss SSD 225 Air Shock
More about DT Swiss

RRP: £150
Year: to 2006

Description: A top-of-the-line dampening element (hydraulic-pneumatic). The very light shock absorber with a weight of only 219 grams is also distinguished by its excellent design! It is especially maintenance friendly and is extremely convenient to use. The rebound can be set exactly to any of 40 different levels using the regulating wheel. A large-diameter air chamber allows a low operating pressure, and standard ball joints ensure torque-free mounting in the frame. All of which means a longer life with less worry and less expense! 100% Swiss made. Patent pending.

The SSD line of rear shocks from DT Swiss combine light weight, attractive design and high performance. Swiss quality and precision throughout: all parts are manufactured and hand made in Switzerland!
- super light
- innovative
- fail-safe
- service-friendly
- precise
- ergonomic controls
- 100% Swiss made

Ergonomically designed controls, easy to handle with gloves, make quick adjustments possible during the ride. The functions are clearly assigned. The rebound damping can be adjusted with the large dial in 40 distinct steps. The large air chamber volume permits easy inflation of low air pressure levels and saves the seals from early breakdown. The proprietary ball joint system in the shock mounts guarantees a torque-free bearing in the frame. This isolates the shocks from damaging lateral actions and there is no risk of being twisted giving a longer lifespan! DT Swiss rear shocks are very easy to service. Wear parts like seals and wipers of the air chamber can be changed without special tools.
