More about Tioga

RRP: £13
Year: to 2006

Description: Cylex: If you need to shed weight from your tyre without compromising it's strength, look no further. Cylex casing packs finer fibre in higher density and minimises the rubber needed to bond the fibres together. The result is the highest fibre to rubber ratio ever achieved on a tyre. This saves a whopping 85 grams on a 26 x 2.10 tyre compared to standard 66TPI casing, while retaining 90% of the strength. Cyclex casing is best for cross country and trail type applications.

Slow Rebound Rubber: The better the tyre's tread is at maintaining contact with the terrain, the better the traction. Tioga's softer compound rubber conforms best to uneven terrain for increased tread to surface contact. Twist a knob of any tyre featuring this compound and you will notice that it comes back to the original shape very slowly. This unique slow rebound capability minimises the 'pogo stick' effect and provides the most stable riding over bumpy terrains. Best for technical, aggressive terrain applications.

Dual Response Rubber: The first long wearing, low resistance rubber that does not sacrifice cornering grip or long term durability. This compound is designed to strike a balance between the traction benefits of softer compounds and durability of harder compounds. The result is a durable and versatile high performance rubber that will outperform standard rubber. Dual Response Rubber is best for multiple terrain applications.
