Description: The Switchback was a runaway success when it was first launched in mid 2003 and continues to sell well. Since its introduction we have added a larger size (20”) due to customer demand and feedback. The Switchback is designed for longer rides out in the hills, easily capable for an all day ride or carving up the single track on your favourite technical trails.
To keep it nice, light and nippy we have used Reynolds 520 double-butted Cro.Mo tubing with tapered 4130 Cro.Mo stays. The Switchback is built light to climb well yet with the toughness of steel it will easily handle any technical trail that you point it down but remember it is an XC frame and not designed for jumping!
The Cro.Mo stays have lots of room for fat tyres and an international disc brake mount. Designed with a short rear triangle featuring wishbone seatstays with shrouded dropouts, giving a stiff, strong rear triangle for good climbing.
Geometry is to suit long travel single crown forks. Typically intended for around a 125 mm travel fork ( /- 10mm is OK) with a short stem, keeping the steering pinpoint accurate and direct.
