'ERGO GRIPS ARE THE WAY FORWARD'
Strengths:
Very comfortable and a great way to overcome nerve pain following injury
Weaknesses:
Until you're used to them they can make your grip on the downhills feel quite weak.
Overall:
My boyfriend bought these for me after a large crash left me with trapped nerves in my neck and shoulder and my regular grips seemed to aggrevate the problem. Within a couple of rides of fitting these grips I could finally finish a ride without pain and stifness in my shoulder and arm. Definitely the wasy forward.

'I CAN FEEL MY BARS AND THRY DON;T HURT THE SCAR ON MY THUMB!'
Strengths:
Great control, great comfort!
Weaknesses:
Pale grey gets a bit grubby!
Overall:
Brilliant upgrade for £7! Surprised that my Speciliazed Epic Comp didn't come with them. I use the men's ones because my huge hands are too big to close round the wee women's ones.

'I'M COMPLETELY CONVERTED TO ERGONOMIC SHAPED GRIPS NOW'
Strengths:
I find the ergonomic shape far more comfortable that the traditional shaped cylindrical grips. I have problems with sore wrists (I think caused by repetitive strain injury of using a mouse and keyboard too much rather than from biking) and these grips really seem to help.

Far wider range of positions to put your hands on the bars than traditional shaped grips. I find this shape especially good for climbing because I can hold the bars right at the ends and still be in control. I find you can put your hands into a position similar to if you had bar ends - but without the bar ends of course!

Bargain price.
Weaknesses:
Specialized bang on about the science behind the "ergonomically shaped platform" so much that I was really surprised to find no fitting instructions whatsoever after opening the packaging - I was expecting it to at least tell me what angle to orientate them at to get the most out of all that scientific design! I just had to keep experimenting until I found the most comfortable position/angle.

The "grip" isn't very grippy after a few months use. Mine is very smooth after 6 months. But when riding with gloves on all the time this doesn't really bother me.

You lock the grips onto the bars by tightening a tiny allen key fitting (allen key provided). However the bolt sticks out on mine which is a bit dangerous and I doubt would be allowed in races.

Typical D4W pastel blue colour won't be to every girl's taste. Why does women's specific always mean pastel colours?!

Overall:
I won't be going back to traditional shaped grips since I'm completely converted to these ergonomic shaped grips.

I bought these grips to try out the shape and see if they would help my sore wrist problem - they have. I bought these Specialized grips because they were a good price and wanted to try them out before forking out for the more expensive Ergon grips. I would recommend these grips and I would buy them again, however I'm now ready to pay more money for the Ergon ones.
