Annual change of oil only. Chain maintenance very easy (tightened by rotating the eccentric bottom bracket) and very little chain wear as chain line is not changed by gears. You can change gear while freewheeling or pedalling. Weaknesses: Some noise with lower 7 gears, but I am told that it beds in and improves with use.
