Cannondale F4000 SL Optimo Si & Lefty Speed Carbon
More about Cannondale

RRP: £1,349
Year: to 2006

Description: Cannondale F4000 SL Optimo Si and Lefty Speed Carbon fork make the perfect combination of feather weight materials and innovative design. The F4000 frame is manufactured from custom butted Alcalyte Alcoa tubing. The front triangle comprises of Cannondales Power Pyramid downtube and an oversized machined externally butted headtube suitable for Cannondales Lefty fork. The rear triangle has hourglass seat and chainstays with vertical dropouts, this model is disc brake compatible only. A replaceable gear hanger comes as standard. This frame-set comes with Cannondales Si bottom bracket included. A compatibility check should be carried out if you intend to run your existing cranks with this frame. Adaptors may be required. The Lefty Speed Carbon fork may look a little odd, and may even raise doubt in your mind as to its strength and stiffness. UCI WC legend Cedric Gracia used a Lefty fork for DS and 4X duties for several years, this alone should be enough to convince anyone. The Fork is air sprung and has 110mm of travel. It features a Hi-flow compression circuit for suppleness and 'Big hit' response, a new compression piston and redesigned ports for precision rebound control via the external 14 click rebound adjuster. An external lockout facility completes the package.
