Team FBUK - Team News

FBUK
British Champion Helen Wyman poses with her cross bike
With plans for 2007 now well under way, Team FBUK are ready to announce the first part of its Road team line-up for 2007. Retaining places from 2006 will be UK riders Helen Wyman, Emma Silversides and Gabby Day. Additionally, Line Ramsrud from Norway and Yolandi du Toit from South Africa will be riding with FBUK again in 2007.

The first few riders to be added to the squad will be Norwegian Road Champion Linn Torp, Linda Ringlever and Debby van den Berg from Holland and Arien Torsius from South Africa.

Further signing will be announced soon as the team look to make a huge step forward in 2007.

'Despite some strong support in the UK, we are yet to find a title sponsor from the UK for 2007 and will be changing our name for next season to reflect this', said team manager Stefan Wyman. 'Our rider base is very varied and we have added some very strong riders to our team for 2007 and I strongly believe this team will achieve great things next season.'

FBUK
Linn Torp joins the team

'To have the UK Cyclo-Cross champion on the team, along with the Norwegian Road Champion, our team has an all year round focus and we intend to provide our riders with every opportunity to succeed. Our program includes races across Europe and South Africa and we are looking to expand our involvement particularly in South Africa and Norway. There are good riders coming through the ranks in these countries and I would like to see them be the FBUK riders of the future.'

Helen rode very strongly this year and we are obviously happy she has committed to FBUK for a further year and with the younger riders including Yolandi and Gabby performing so well in major races in 2006, we all hope 2007 will see huge successes for us across Europe. This experience added to the huge experience of team captain Line Ramsrud and the Road Champion of Norway should be a recipe for success. FBUK will also increase the number of events they ride in the UK next year and hope to bring European riders to the Uk for some National Series Races.

Within the next few weeks, FBUK will announce the further riders to be added to its team along with sponsor news.
