The unique selling point of the Moby Gel glove is the gel padding on the palm, situated at the base of the fingers and the outside of the hand where the ulner nerve sits and can cause numbness. This is designed to reduce shock to those sensitive areas that can suffer on longer rides.
The breathable nylon mesh back keeps hands cool whilst the synthetic leather palm has good grip and is pretty tough too. The back also has a handy Terry cloth thumb patch, perfect for drippy noses or wiping sweat away. A useful safety point is the reflective piping on the outer sides of the gloves for nightime visibility in traffic.
Finally our pet hate on short fingered gloves is how damn hard they are to get off, Trek have designed easy-off pull tabs at the fingers which help in taking the gloves off. Hurray!

Andrea's opinion
The Trek WSD Moby Gel gloves have eight rather plump (4-8mm thick) gel pads just below the fingers on the palm and across most of the palm. They fitted snugly across the back of the hand and the Velcro adjuster kept everything in place. This gave a really nice secure feeling, and prevented the hand sliding around inside the glove.
Size-wise the gloves were a good fit, meaning that the webbing between your fingers doesn't cause any pinching and the women specific design accomodates smaller and narrower female hands. Our only critiscism is that seams of four different panels consisting of synthetic leather, terry cloth and lycra run together in the area between thumb and hand to form a more substantial seam than we'd like, which was noticable when on the brake hoods for long periods of time.
The gel padding certainly reduces road shock and adds to comfort on bumpy sections. However I found them better suited for mountain biking with the perfect hand position and padding for my mountain bike's flat handlebars.
For road bike use I'd like to see a little more padding at the base of the thumb, which would add extra comfort for time on the brake hoods and drops.
