UCI World MTB Championships: Women's XC

Dahle winning again in Fort William 2005

Guess who's the new Women's XC World Champion? Go on, guess, bet you can't. Oh, OK you can - it's Gunn-Rita Dahle, who took her fourth rainbow jersey in wet and slippery conditions in Rotorua, New Zealand. And in traditional Dahle style, she was nearly three minutes ahead of second-placed Irina Kalentieva. Canada's Marie-Helene Premont was third. This is Dahle's second World Championship title this year - she won the Marathon World Championships in France just two weeks ago.

Aye, reet now on Sunday there's a few places left on Cycle Yorkshires women's skills day. Based in the Chevin Hills near Otley, come and have a go at climbing, descending, rocky slopes and steps. Take in the great scenery (watch out for airplanes as they come into land;0)) It's an all day affair, with tea stop and pub stop for added fun.
I'm gonna be there so you know it's not gonna be to hard;0)
