Polaris have taken the concept of fully co-ordinating kit to the next level with the Daisy Range, that includes a jersey shorts and gloves (review coming soon), all building on the daisy theme.
In a male dominated sport like cycling, it is easy to think that looking good in a bike should not be important, but anything that gets you motivated to get out on your bike, or which simply brings you more enjoyment, should be embraced fully, so don't deny your feminine side just because you are exercising!
However, I would never suggest that looks come before function; if the kit does not perform, then no matter how great it looks, it will not serve you well.
With shorts, I always look at the padding first and was surprised to see the Daisy Shorts have a highly technical, female specific, moulded insert, with channels to help move moisture away from the body. The pad was every bit as good in action on the bike, as my first inspection suggested it would be. In addition to the feel, what you don't see (and maybe never think about), is the added benefits of the anti-bacterial properties that this particular Meryl® Engineered female specific insert offers.
The fit of the shorts is also female specific and a six panel design at this price is a real bonus. With leg grippers to stop them riding up, surely a minimum requirement for cycling shorts and combine the cut with the matt finish fabric these shorts are about as flattering as skin tight lycra gets!

The fabric is really lightweight, which means that any moisture wicks away almost instantly and would make these shorts ideal for a biking holiday, where you might have to wash out kit in your room.
The embroidered daisies at the bottom of the right leg of the shorts co-ordinate beautifully with the Daisy Mitts and the daisy theme of the Daisy Shirt, which are also made to the same exacting standards.
