After a full summer of mountain biking and a couple of 24hr races I wanted to fill you in on the Specialized Motodiva Women's MTB shoe performance.
As a fan of more freeride styled cycling shoes I thought these blue babies were going to feel a bit racy and not so comfortable, especially for those moments when you have to get off and push or carry the bike. But once I got over my old prejudices I realised these were the comfiest shoes I'd ridden in for ages.

The whole shoe is designed around a women's foot, taking into account for narrower heels and lower volume forefoot. The heelcup is deeper too for a real snug and comfortable fit, smaller feet will love the anatomic fit.
The internal support is right where you need it, reducing foot fatigue and cramp too, it's only when you find a proper fitting shoe that you realise what a difference this can make to pedal power and performance.
Velcro straps over the lower and mid foot are easy to adjust on the fly whilst the ratchet style M-lock buckle provides a secure and micro-adjustable fit. The outer shoe is MicroMatrix synthetic leather which is really lightweight and durable too, despite plenty of abuse ours have suffered little damage and the hard molded toe protection has come in useful with the odd crash too. I'll be adding the soccer-style studs to the sole for winter mud riding.
Look out for some good deals as the 2005 season comes to an end.
