dhb Ladies Triple Lens Sunglasses - TESTED

Spiuk_Yara

dhb specialize in clothing and bags for sports like running and cycling. The clothing is designed to fit properly and work efficiently during strenuous exercise. All dhb products carry a lifetime warranty against defects in manufacture or materials. Wiggle source all dhb products in bulk, direct from the manufacturer. This means we cut out all the money that is usually spent by importers and distributors on marketing, advertising and expensive race teams. Result: you get the very best quality kit at an amazing price!

I often feel naked if I leave the house without sunnies, let alone on the bike. Sunglasses/Eye wear is vital to keep wind, insects, rain, spray and dust out of your eyes. Dark lenses will cut out light to prevent squinting and protect against UV ray damage.

The new dhb ladies sunglasses have great wrap around styling with three different lenses for a multitude of light conditions. It features UV400 polycarbonate lenses which will protect you from both UVA and UVB rays. Interchangeable lenses are useful to protect your eyes in all conditions.

What you get is a strong, lightweight frame packaged in a padded soft case with microfibre cleaner. Three interchangeable scratch and impact resistant polycarbonate lenses:

  • Pink lens for dull, overcast light
  • Blue lens for enhancing shadow definition in cloudy conditions
  • Grey lens is ideal for bright sunny conditions

I have been testing the dhb sunnies, and I actually prefer them to my much more expensive old favourites at the moment. They do only come in white, but it looks great. They do provide all the critical components of protecting the eyes and matching. The visual clarity from all of the lenses is great. They don't sport the anti-fog or even anti scratch/shatterproof that high end sunnies do, however the design is such that only the extremely coldest days, do they fog when stopping at the lights, or at the end of an effort.

The fit is reassuringly snug and very comfortable. The nose piece is adjustable so your eyelashes don't touch the lenses. The only qualm is the tendency for them to slip down the nose. The arms have enough give that they are not too loose or too tight. In the two months we have had them on test, they have not yet stretched, even with resting them on the head on occasion.

All this for just under £25, bargain!

Verdict

goodThe best value for money in a pair of sunnies yet! Great fit and clear optics. Good choice of colours and lenses too.

badThe movement down the nose on bumpy rides.

It's time to invest in some new winter gloves, getting to that time of year that I loose all sensation in my fingers when out on a ride. What gloves do you recommend, I want them to be warm but without being to bulky. Help save my fingers and me, braking not easy when you can't feel your fingers.
