Heads up!

Pics: Rodenstock

Things from the realms of science fiction become reality increasingly often these days (although where's our flying car, eh?). But Rodenstock's Informance sunglasses mark the first time we can recall something starting as a spoof making it into reality.[Pull the other one - Ed.]

The Informance specs use a cunning arrangement of LEDs and a prism to project stopwatch and heart rate data into the left-hand side of your field of view in the style of the heads-up displays used in fighter jets, helicopter gunships and high-end German cars.

For my commute, I have to ride through the middle of a busy city centre.  To say traffic is bad is an understatement and i'm getting fed up with breathing in all the fumes from the cars and lorries.  Does anyone use an anti-pollution mask and are they any good?

I know i'll look stupid but is it worth it?

Any tips welcome....
