Fox Tytania shoes - Tested

Fox_Tytania2
Fox Tytania

Now, if someone had said we'd be wearing silver trainers all summer I'd probably have doubted them, but that was before we clapped eyes on the Fox Tytania 2's. Next we tried them on, and well that was pretty much the clincher for the deal and they stuck. As well as being super comfortable, they're lightweight and well vented, just what a girl needs during warm weather. No more sweaty feet here!

Technically they hold up well too, not being a bike specific shoe we would expect some shock absorption and the Strike Plate technology delivers that well for a bouncy stride that protects knees and ankles too. The last is women specific so it's well sized and comfortable too.

The laces are somewhat deceptive as we preferred too have then loosely tied and let the integrated tongue hold the shoe on. However should you choose the lacing can be tightened allowing more serious running in the Tytanias. Being obsessive about our cycling we have many shoes for particular rides and uses. We hadn't realised we were missing a shoe for casual biking (or when we felt like riding flats on the mtb) that allowed full use off the bike at the other end or pub stop.

We're not that serious about running, seems odd when a bike can do the job better in our opinion, but at all times comfort and style are important factors and we did do some running in the Tytanias in comfort. The Tytania shoe has a good sole for urban wear and holds grip on a flat pedal pretty well too. You can just slip the shoe on and run and ride to your heart's content and look good for casual use too.

Verdict

Really well vented for warmer days and plenty of soft padding around the tongue and heel for comfort.

good Really breathable and dead comfy

badA bit bling at first

Hi,

i was trying some specialized bike shoes on the weekend and like all bike shops they didnt have many ladies sizes/styles. I managed to try on a style called motodiva in a 39 which in uk is size 6 (which is my normal size) but i could barely even get in on my foot and they didnt have any bigger sizes.

basically i've tried all my local bike shops and no where's got any of these shoes (or any others) to try so i think i'm going to have to buy off the internet. is anyone out there a ladies uk 6 and have a pair of specialized shoes that can tell me what size they had to buy?

or does anyone know anywhere's that's got any offers on ladies shoes? ive never had any before so could do with looking at a few or getting some ...
