We were sorry to hear about Jane Tomlinson's death yesterday after a long battle with cancer. Her family announced her death, expressing "We are as a family heartbroken at this loss but we know this extends to all her family and friends." In a statement they said "Jane has always said her family has been the greatest joy in life and we feel honoured to have been blessed with such a wonderful person."
Jane had three children and had been fighting cancer for seven years, since being diagnosed she undertook endless challenges to raise money for cancer and was an inspiration to all women. She raised over £1.5 million for charity and the Prime Minister has paid tribute to her dedication and bravery. Jane was told on diagnosis she had only a few months to live but fought for seven years whilst completing marathons, Ironman trithlons and the 4000+mile Ride Across America.
She lived each day to the full and will forever be an inspiration to us.
