Sara_mechanic
Trailside repairs made easy

Fancy learning some of the essential skills you need to keep your bike running smoothly and some emergency trailside repairs to ensure you get home safely. Even better why not learn in a relaxed and female friendly environment? The GetMountainBiking.co.uk course is suitable for the novice mechanic and covers the following;

  • Bike safety check
  • Bike set up
  • Workshop tools
  • Bike cleaning and lubrication
  • Changing tyres, replacing inner tubes and puncture repairs
  • Gear and brake adjustment
  • Tools & equipment
  • Trailside kit
  • Emergency trailside repairs

    Helen at GetMountainBiking.co.uk says "No prior knowledge of bike maintenance is assumed and the day is completely hands on so please bring your own bike with you, the course is staffed with mechanics at a maximum ratio of 1:6. There are up to 12 places available."

    Details

    The day (10am till 4pm) covers all instruction, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments and a Goody Bag (including some bike maintenance equipment) for each participant.

  • The next course is running on Sunday 30th September 2007
  • Location: Macintosh Centre, Brixworth Country Park, Northamptonshire
  • Cost: £55
