There are loads of rides being organised on the SheCycles Forum, here are a few coming up soon. Come and join other SheCycles members for social and fun rides in your area, or why not venture further afield and check out some new trails in a new area.
Lake District camping
First up is this weekend, 27-29th July, a camping trip to Grizedale in Lake District. organised by Tri25 and Ali, check out their thread on the SheCycles Forum to see who's willing to pitch a tent or head for the local YHA. Eitherway the trails are still brilliant and good company guarenteed!
East Sussex forest riding
Lisa is organising the next Sussex Muddy@rse ride will be on 29th July, a ride around the singletrack of Friston Forest and some classic SDW XC trails. As usual, this is a non-competitive, sociable ride open to girls and guys and there's nothing too technical on this one. This ride will provide XC trails of approx 15-20 miles in and around Friston Forest, giving you access to some great secret singletrack and open downland trails in what should be the height of summer (fingers crossed everyone !!)
Start: 10.30am from Butchers Hole Car Park, just outside Friston Village, East Sussex. Car park is Pay & Display - £1 all day. Nearest train station: Seaford. Start point location map available on the blog at www.sussexmuddyarse.wordpress.com
Somewhere in Wales....
Pootle is arranging a camping trip to Wales, the USP is 'staggering distance to the pub.' If it's like her other well attended rides with great trails it'll include good food and tea stops too! We hope!
North Wales
For North Wales and the Wirral area riding see this Thread , no dates fixed as yet but there are some women getting together to ride soon.
Peak District riding
There are loads of rides in the Peak District thanks to a concentration of SheCycles Members in the area and based in Sheffield.
Peak District
All day and night stuff..
If you fancy something longer lasting, namely 24 hours, then what about SITS (Sleepless in the Saddle)? SheCycles member Elaine is recently back from the Dirtgirls camp in Morzine and is looking for another team mate to make up her mixed team to 5 riders. Check out her request on the Forum
Or if you'd like to put in a full team have a look at the posting by Ruth M on theForum about the Relentless 24 Hour event with new venue and course for this year. Now at the Nevis Range (camping available) this is so that we can maximize the use of the NEW Trails that are being built for the World Champs in September. Weekend 13th -14th October 2007.
