Specialized SWorks Ruby
|
For a few years now Specialized have produced some great women specific bikes and 2008 won't be a let down judging by the new Ruby road bike we saw exhibited at the Tour de France Grande Depart at the weekend.
For 2008 UK riders will be pleased to see the S-Works Ruby frame is looking super slick and lightweight, it's an all carbon affair with Zertz inserts on the seat stays and forks for added damping. It's not for the faint hearted though, priced around £3500 (TBC) you'd have to be serious rder to consider this purchase. But specc'd with Shimano Dura-Ace groupset, new Specialized carbon crankset and carbon seatpost, stem and bar set-up it's well worth the outlay.
Weight is around 940g for the frame and is available in sizes ranging from 44 to 56cm. Other nice touches include the hollow titanium railed saddle and shorter reach Dura-Ace brake levers using Specialized Slim Shims for reduced reach for smaller hands.
We'll bring you more info once we've been fortunate enough to sling a leg over the S-Works Ruby....
