Essentials for Women are mountain bike skills courses for women riders amids the stunning scenery and great trails of Glentress Forest, near Peebles.

Each Essentials for Women course works on a ratio of 2:8 (2 coaches per 8 riders) to ensure individual feedback and a personal feel. The courses are split into beginners and advanced, so riders get the tuition and ride trails according to their ability.

ESSENTIALS LEVEL 1 FOR WOMEN

Level 1 Essentials are aimed at women who are new to mountain biking, or who would like to try it for the first time.

The course covers bike set-up as well as which bike and kit to consider when starting out. Tracy and Emma introduce you (gently) to the basic techniques of mountain biking that will not only keep you safe on the trails, but also give you a firm foundation from which to develop your riding.
