Unlike buying from a bike shop, where you can try a bike out and ensure you get the right size and get a feel for how it rides, buying online makes this impossible.

Step forward the latest idea from wiggle.co.uk. They've launched the "7-day test ride", which means you can test ride a bike for an an entire week, for free.

You can take it out on the trails, ride it to work or crank up some serious miles on the road, and then if you are not happy send wiggle.co.uk an email and they'll arrange to pick it up from you and refund your money.

Hi,
i no longer have a road bike thanks to a inconsiderate mercedes driver so while all the insurance goes through i need to get myself a cheap road bike.

i'm looking to spend abut £500 as it's coming out of my own pocket, so can anyone suggest a road bike for that budget?

i'm about 5ft7 and at the moment i'm looking at maybe the specialized allez. but would appreciate some advice.
