Saturday 10th December at Manchester Velodrome, Day 2 Track World Cup Event
After Friday's superb results at the Manchester Velodrome with a suitable amount of gold bling safely in the trophy cabinet, could day 2 get any better?
With Victoria Pendleton out on the boards again for the 500m Time Trial against her Belarus counterpart Natallia Tsylinskaya and Yvonne Hijgenaar from Holland. Natallia Tsylinskaya was untouchable over the 500m distance making up for losing out on the gold medal in Friday's Sprint race. Victoria rode the 500m in sub 35 seconds a time which she thought wouldn't necessarily gain her a medal, but was quick enough to earn her a well deserved Bronze medal. Another bit of bling to add to her rapidly growing collection.
Britain's other hopeful rider, sucessful road racer Rachel Heal, took 4th in the Individual Pursuit prooving that she can hold her own on the boards as well as on the tarmac.
