Specialized Designs For Women

We've already featured the new Specialized Concept store at Fort Dunlop in Birmingham due to open on 15th May 2007, check out the details here.
What we didn't know at the time was that it will include a very special Designs for Women area at the front of the store with clear branding and imaging for women riders.
The department has a full range of bikes across mountain, road and urban, a fantastic range of women's clothing and accessories from Specialized, Gore and The North Face and last but not least, a large brightly lit changing room...just what we ladies like. There are several test bikes from across the range and full Body Geometry bike fit facilities to help everyone make the right purchase.
Phil Kruszewski at 559Active says "This will be a commitment to provide good quality service and equipment to female customers not just a few bikes in the corner of the store and a pink wall."
He goes on to say "However, what may be of particular interest to the SheCycles readers is our search for high quality staff to work in the Designs for Women Department."
559active are currently looking for team members who will -
Enjoy face to face selling
Have an active interest in Cycling and Designs for Women - product training will be provided
Have experience of delivering excellent customer service
Will assist in the maintenance and operation of the store to a high standard, with specific responsibility for the Designs for Women sales area
Be keen to promote the store at external events.
Be hard working and enthusiastic
Enjoy learning and passing on their knowledge on to their team

Fort Dunlop has great access, it is the old tyre factory (now renovated) right beside the M6, between junction 5 and 6 on the M6 and has a massive free car park and includes other retail stores, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Check out the details here.
