 TRAINING AND HEALTH 25 / 04 / 07

Herne Hill Track Training 07

Herne Hill Velodrome hosts almost daily training events at the South London Olympic stadium. The Saturday morning sessions are very popular and open to all. Coaching and advice is freely available.

Each Saturday Track Training - Ends October 27
- Adults £3 16-17 £2 U16 £2 for one stage. Free bike hire.
- Adults £6 16-17 £3 U16 £2 for two or more stages. Free bike hire.

Experienced riders generally take part in both stages 3 and 4. However, ALL riders who have never attended Herne Hill training sessions MUST do the Stage 1 Induction before progressing to the other stages. - Stage 2 - Novice and Youth 09:00 to 10:30. Gentle riding and races for the young and the less fit.
- Stage 3 - Skills Training 10:30 to 11:45. Bunch riding, skills training and taking part in training races.
- Stage 4 - Fitness Training 11:45 to 13:00. Training races and exercises to improve speed and fitness.

Mine is 34milesish round trip, to uni and back. I haven't done it much yet, but hope to more when it starts getting lighter. What do you eat when you get there to make sure you can get back, and when do you eat it? Straight after you arrive, or a length of time afterwards and how much do you eat?
