Organisers Ken and Barbara Robson are delighted to confirm 5 new sponsors who
will be actively contributing to this years event with a high level of technical
and product expertise on Sunday 10th June 2007
Bike support
Highclere Castle will be the first sportive to have bike mechanical and repair
services based at all three main controls around the course - AW Cycles at Highclere
Castle main arena, Hargroves Cycles at Sparsholt, nr Winchester and Owens Cycles
at their new premises in Steep, nr Petersfield. Riders will be able to get any
last minute troubleshoot bikes checks on the day and there will be mechanical
assistance all around the course. Emergency spares, (e.g. tubes, tyres, cables),
will be readily available to ensure riders have the best opportunity to continue
and complete the course.
Energy and Endurance
High5 will be providing Energy Source, a high carbohydrate drink mix for maximum
energy, at HQ and all water stations. Stewards will be on hand to refill water
bottles from High5 distinctive containers. Energy Source is rapidly absorbed and
highly stable in the stomach even during intense race effort. A full range of
their gels and energy bars will be available.
Performance Awards
All riders taking part in the Challenges want to perform to their best and their
individual performance against the standards set is important. Cyclefit, world
authority in the field of building optimum bike-to-human relationships with the
specific aim of gaining efficiency, power and comfort for every rider, will be
sponsoring both individual and team prizes. AW Cycles will also be sponsoring
team prizes.
Signage
AW Cycles will be way-marking the routes with blue and yellows arrow signs for
the routes and controls. The arrow signs were highly commended by riders last
year and AW Cycles signs will be extending the sign coverage to include safety
and controls this year.
