More about Dr KIm
Kim started out her XC mountain bike racing career as a junior and racked up a number of wins including National Junior MTB XC Champion and National Series winner from 1995-97 and represented Team GB in 5 European and World Junior Championship events, including DH and XC. She returned to competitive riding in 2005 and last year won the TransWales multi-stage endurance event as part of the SheCycles.com pairing with Heather Dawe and picked up the bronze medal in the British XC Championships, so Kim knows a thing or two about what it takes to race at a high level. Now, aged 28, Kim will be looking to develop her skills across disciplines and will be venturing onto the tarmac as well as racing on the dirt in 2007.
On a professional note, Kim graduated as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) in 2002 and works as a General Practitioner for the Royal Air Force. This has allowed her to gain clinical experience in Sports Medicine, Training Injuries and Rehabilitation as well as practical experience in Mountain Search and Rescue Medicine.
So fire away all with those nagging questions and know you'll get a straight forward and professional answer to help you get the most out of your riding and training.
