The Surrey League
are all about encouraging riders of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy bike racing and they work hard to provide opportunities to for women who are new to racing to have a go.
If you have ever wanted to try a road race but felt a little intimidated then there are two dates that you should get in your diary now:
25th February
4th March
Both races are to be held at the MOD circuit in Chertsey, so there are no cars to worry about and it is probably the most interesting and varied closed circuit in the UK.
On these dates, the Surrey League will run a race for novice women, which will include warm up laps ridden with a coach to get you used to the circuit and to riding in a bunch.
SheCycles members get a discount
As if that were not enough, they are also offering SheCycles members a serious discount, if you enter in advance. The normal price is £12 for the race entry and £5 insurance fee (total price £17), however if you enter through us you can get all this for just £10 - a saving of £7!
