The Decibel is Specialized's top end helmet that comes in a great range of sizes to fit well for even small heads.
The Decibel is constructed with a series of carbon-reinforced liner channels, which has allowed Specialized to whittle even more weight off their top-end helmet while maintaining a highly protective lid suitable for road or off-road use. The Piranha Pro-inspired large front vent draws plenty of air in and across your head making for a comfortable helmet when the temperature starts to rise.
The new PRO Fit retention system gives a great fit and is really easy to adjust, even on the fly or during those last minute faffs. Strapping is easy to adjust with simple U-turn strap adjusters, although once it's set up to fit you there's little need to fiddle with anything. However, the most noticeable thing about the Decibel is not weight but size, it's built to withstand the hardest hits but still manages to feel and look much smaller than many old faithful race lids we have! It comes in an array of different colours including white and pink and even has a clip on visor, what more could a girl want!
Verdict
High quality race lid, ultra-cool and lightweight, lots of colour options available.
Great vents for cooling, good fit too!
Some noticable wind noise when at speed on the road noted by one of the testers
