Why drive to work or catch the bus when you can commute in style on a speedy machine like the Giant FCR 1 for women? Actually it's capable of far much more than commuting, so if you like a fast smooth ride then you should test ride the FCR1 W.
The lightweight ALUXX aluminium frame is fitted with T700 carbon composite forks and a XERO XSR 3 wheelset, so it is quite a home on longer road rides too!
Fast speeds require quick and accurate braking and the FCR 1W has linear pull Tektro brakes for reliable stopping power even in the wet. The Kenda tyres have a good amount of tread yet still roll smoothly and the 28mm width offers great damping from road vibration and good grip in the wet and on towpaths too. Gearing is Shimano Rapidfire Plus 27 speed shifters and 105 rear mech, the triple chainring will get you up any hill and the bar ends are a refreshing addition.
