After a long but exciting weekend at the Cycle 2005 show we thought we'd share some of the tidbits that we came across.
It seems that manufacturers everywhere are sitting up and taking notice of their women customers, apparently their women's market is one of the fastest growing areas of business. Which is great for women riders everywhere and we can expect to see even more women specific apparel and equipment on the shelves and websites in the coming few months.
Clothing innovation was the best we'd seen in ages with a new range for '06 from Gore Bike Wear including the Amazone jersey with it's sneaky hidden zip and additional ventilation zip on the front. Heading up the outer shell range is the new award winning lightweight Xenon Lady jacket, winner of the Eurobike Design Award 2005. It has a specific 3D cut for maximum comfort and fit whilst in a race position for an aerodynamic fit that moves with you on the bike. There's plenty of reflective piping and loads more on the sides and arms - a vulnerable area well covered for night-time riding. The fabric is WINDSTOPPER® Light Shell which is also water-repellent and extremely breathable, just as you'd expect from a Gore Bike Wear product.

Scott weren't going to be outdone with the bike or clothing range, we sneaked a look at their new range which is stylish with plenty of black options and subtle detailing. Hidden zips and lots of reflective strips seem to be the order of the day perfect for urban warriors and serious cyclists alike.
