Madone 5.9. SL WSD

Fuel EX9 WSD

Equinox 7 WSD £1200
We have to give Trek the SheCycles award for the most women specific bikes in their range, we counted a stunning 23 in total across road, MTB, comfort and urban bikes!
The road range starts at £550 for the 1000 WSD a great value starter bike, rising through the range pretty much every price point is well catered for climaxing with the Madone bikes based on the men's highly successful Madone range. The top end Madone model is the 5.9 SL WSD with an OCLV 110 Carbon frame, Shimano Dura-Ace groupset and Bontrager X Lite wheelset. Priced at £3500 it's the highest priced women specific bike from a mainstream manufacturer we've been lucky enough to clap eyes on. Top marks to Trek for providing a high specc'd race ready bike that so many of the other bike companies are too afraid to.
There's even a women specific TT/Triathlon bike, the Equinox 7 WSD, a ZR 9000 Alu frame kitted out with Bontrager Select Aero wheels and all the usual gubbins you need for keeping it low and aero with girly specific dimensions.
Mountain bikers will be pleased to see a full range of hardtail and full sussers, we can't wait to test the Fuel EX9 WSD at £2300 with RockShox MC 3 shock with remote switch, RockShox Reba Team fork, a ZR 9000 Aluminum lightweight frame and Bontrager Race Lite wheels and finsihing kit. If that's a bit pricey then take a peek at the Fuel EX8 WSD £1800 or the Fuel EX7 WSD £1500, all available in 14, 16 and 18" women specific sizes and geometry.
Novice mountain bikers are well catered for too with the Entry level hardtail range starting at £300 for the 4300 WSD, rounding off a 'something for everything' range for 2006.
It's not too late to get along to Cycle 2005 this weekend to check out the full range.
Cycle 2005 takes place from October 14-16 at London's ExCeL and tickets cost £12 on the day. Or better still save £2 by pre-booking tickets for the Cycle Show on 0870 126 1786 or through www.cycleshow.co.uk.
