Today is a full moon and an almost clear sky means excellent night riding conditions. A clear night with little or no cloud cover means you get some free lighting from the moon, making night riding less dependent on just your lighting rig or battery power.
Out in the hills away from the light pollution of towns the silver shimmer of a full moon is even more beautiful and bright. Night riding is fun at the best of times but with a touch of illumination from above you get to ride that bit faster with more peripheral vision too. It's even possible to turn off your main light for a while to experience the total full moon experience, just don't try it in the woods though or you might get more than you bargained for!
Take your camera with you too as www.exposurelights.com have a competition for the best night riding photo, the best pics are put on their website and the handy snapper wins an Exposure Lights thermal coffee mug.
