Just in time for Christmas is the latest issue of Rouleur, a perfect stocking filler if there is one.
Edited by Guy Andrews and published by Rapha, the premium clothing people, Rouleur is intoxicating and although some may baulk at the £9 cover price, you will find it worth it. It's so stylish it's almost a coffee table book.....don't crease the pages!!!
Rouleur is an evocative journey into the essence of our sport and highlights include
1985 Tour de France - Jorgen Leth's commentary on the 85 Tour."Riders who are my preferred hereos. The fragile ones....."
Cochran to Casetelli - Clash road manager, Johnny Green reflects on genius and the life and death struggle of life and racing - "It took the genius of Pantani to wake me up to the brilliance of the sport."
On and on..You can feel pain and I swear I can hear the tear drops and sweat falling on the page as Guy Andrews tells of his ascent of the legendary (and evil) Mount Ventoux.
Agony - Great photos and words that make you wince, but we've all been there at sometime in our cycling lives.
