Shock absorber has one of the widest range of sports bras on the market. The way they rate their bras with impact level ratings is superb and easy to understand. Impact level one is for small breasted women doing low to medium impact activity such as yoga and pilates, where as an impact level four provides enough support for a large breasted women to do high impact activities such as running.

Shock absorber sports bra are well designed and engineered to provide great support. They come in a range of designs, B109 a level 4 bra with "traditional" straps, B507 comes in a racer back and B518 comes in a crop top style.

The B518 has a unique anti-bounce designed for maximum control. Featuring anti-bounce vertical seamed cups for supreme support. With racer back, adjustable side fastenings and Coolmax fabric to wick moisture away from the body. Suitable for running and all high impact sports, tennis, volleyball, aerobics, horse riding, etc.

Having spent years with the same make and model sports bra, I didn't think there was much more out there to offer me. Then Girls Run Too introduced me to the Shock Absorber B518. Being their best selling bra, I can understand why. The anti-bounce design works!

The multi seams have an aggressive hold and at first is a little concerning. However, it does not restrict breathing and holds what ever you have (no matter how big) in place. It can be difficult to get on and off, particularly if you are in a hurry, but well worth the effort. The flat seams and wicking material along with the racer back cut, is great under any and all sports tops, so a great all rounder.

I have given this bra a run for its money, with long distance running, hard interval track training, sprinting efforts on the road and a full day of XC MTB. It stayed in place, did not restrict breathing and made me feel confident and secure.

The side fastenings are a lot easier to open and close than the traditional back fastenings and have the option for tighter options when the fabric stretches. It is a pity that it only comes in white, as white would have to be the number one bad choice for a sports bra colour. Discolouring is a negative aspect of this bra. The fabric is made of Coolmax and is not recommended if you are prone to chaffing however, makes up for it in every other way. Definitively a bra that deserves a space in every women athletes wardrobe.
