Revolution Quest Women's Base Layer - TESTED

Revolution_quest
Revolution Quest Women's baselayer

A base layer is a must-have for any cyclist. If you're looking for a fast wicking, lightweight base layer then look no further. The Revolution offers the wearer a silky smooth fabric, Arroyo Active to be precise, which glides over your skin. The base layer feels seamless with its flatlock-stitched seams and it is very comfortable. The fit is very good, I found the overall length, and the length of the sleeves is spot-on. It's always a bonus when the sleeves don't roll up to your elbows when you are on the bike!

Performance wise, it's very impressive for the money. It does a great job on wicking away sweat from your body. It held up well worn under a waterproof and with its quick drying properties, it kept me warm and dry underneath. If you're carrying a Camelbak then this base layer will keep your back dry and won't irritate you.

The real bonus on this base layer is the smell-test. It handles sweat very well and the smell won't knock you out after a long day in the saddle!

Verdict

I'd highly recommend this base layer, plus a great base layer for the £20 price tag.

one fracture, 12 xrays, over two months off my bike and one drunken declaration of love for my bike; i am now back on my bike. went out yesterday for my first cycle in ages and my god, it hurt!

cycled the fourteen kilometres from my house to meet my mountain bike buddies in the local forest for a gentle spin. climbs were torturous but the lessons of 'let go of the brakes' from les gets still remained so my bravery/ stupidity on trails remains.

only bad points about the spin was my saddle. i need to get used to it again urgently. my sit bones are in agony from a saddle that was the most comfortable thing that i sat on before my accident.

apart from this, i am beyond happy and hyper about the fact that i'm back on tight, rooty singletrack covered with mud and challenging myself on trails.
