Having real trouble trying to get a nice pair of womes specific race shoes. Specialized only go up to a 42 and they are too small. Can't get hold of any Northwave Silk shoes. Can't get any Sidi Dominators in anything above a size 41!!

I am a size 42 in my normal Cannondale MTB shoes but might be a 43 in certain race shoes.

Can anyone recommend something nice?

I'm guessing you are the other half of "singlespeedstu" on STW, where I've just posted the following:

'The Pearl Izumi shoes are positively boat-like for any given size. Specialized are usually half a size down on your usual size, and they go up to a 42 (so equiv. 41).

I don't think she'll find women's Sidis that large but she could try the standard men's version; I have one pair each of men's and women's Dominators in a 40 and there's very little difference in the fit, apart from a slightly larger toe box in the men's.'

i use the specialized mens shoes i dont find therre to be much differance and there really conftable. the only big differance is the colour

I'd second Rebecca - I've got big feet :-(, so I had to go with the Specialized men's shoes and find them really comfy.
