The last stage of the Tour of Britain runs from Blackpool to Liverpool and a few of us are planning on cycling from Adlington, Lancs to see it pass along the sea front at Southport while we munch on chips. It'll be a 60mile road ride, most of it flat and quiet roads, with a chips and ice-cream break while we watch the pros ride along the road we've just come along. There is parking at the start and a train station if you want to get the train.
Thanks for the reminder, looks like its passing by on the Penwortham bypass about a mile and a half from my house! Need to get myself out to watch, they will be steaming past on this stage as its pretty flat.
You don't fancy a ride out to Southport then julbags? Yes they will be going fast. I saw them on Waddington Fell a few years ago which was good as the hill had slowed them down and spread them out.
I will be meeting up with friends to watch it, one of my biking buddies very recently sprogged so if its not raining I'll hopefully get to see her and the littley as well otherwise I'd be up for it.
