Hi All

So chuffed I found this site! All ladies make a huge difference to chatting on some of the more male dominant sites.

Well I've been road cycling on and off for 3 years (Trek 1000 and others) but really got into commuting to London as I'm not fast enough for my partners club.

Does anyone around Kingston, Surbiton, Chessington want a cycling partner?                                  I average 14.5 mph, not so keen on the long hills but do get up them .                                     If you're interested and want to give it a go, let me know.

Jo

hi welcome to the forum, not south based but hope you find some like minded cycle companions.  If you have transport you can probably get to places to meet some of the others ie Thetford forest.?????

Hi Jo

I live in west London and tend to ride out to the surrey hills and the chilterns with my partner and friends. If you fancy hooking up give me a shout.  We tend to meet at Hampton court and ride out to Shere, Peaslake, holmbury, dorking, box hill and back in through chessington - distances vary but the pace is steady - tea and cake is always involved

Hi Sharon, thanks for the welcome and the offer. Thetford is a tad far but if I'm ever up your way, I'll let you know.

Hi Lesley.

Awesome! Pls let me know when you guys are planning a 40/45 miler and I'll join you then.

I'm out this Sunday with a friend that I'm trying to convert to road cycling... she just doens't know it yet .

What is your average speed as I really don't want to hold you guys up either. Good to have newbies but I have keep reading on most of the club websites that looking after one can be a pain. I'm not a virgin to long rides.. I did the Oxford to Cambridge... even though I wanted to cry when I finished the 80 odd miles.

My other half does that route with Kingston Wheelers. I think I'm just a big wuss! Need more time in the saddle on weekend rides... build  up my confidence again.

Ooops Jo, did not mean to miss lead you, am much further north than Thetford, but from the chat on here I know there are other's in the south who ride in a variety of places and thought maybe you could link up if possible, and it seems someone already fits the bill.

No worries Sharon. Yup, chatting with Lesley so hopefully I'll sort something out. thanks again

Hi feel free to come out with Addiscombe CC - at least 10 women out every Saturday, many coming from far and wide

Broad range of groups - leaving Coulsdon South Station (some people get the train or drive to the start) at 9am for 9.30am .
