I know Blackpool is a bit cheesey and not the first place you'd think of going for a nice ride, but.... Tonight is "Ride the Lights" basically the whole prom is closed off to traffic and open for bikes only with the illuminations on. I went last year and it was really good, hundreds of people on bikes, kids, dogs in trailers, all sorts. Nice atmosphere. Unless it pours with rain we're going tonight, just thought I'd mention it in case anybody else fancied it. More details here.

Yes. It's the one day a year Mr Jumbly can be persuaded to ride, only going if it's dry, expecting him to ride in the wet is just too much! We're driving up, the train is tricky with bikes at the mo cos of the rail replacement bus bit going on between Chorley and Preston.
