I have a really really old Giro Venus (I think it's called) some cheap women's specific helmet from about 8 years ago. I think it's abotu time I invested in a new one however I have a problem trying to find something that fits with a pony tail. Tried on the other halfs new Havoc this morning, doesn't work, I've tried thet Hex and Zen but again they don't fit a pony tail. I've tried moving the pony tail, high, low through the roc lock but nothing.

What do other women wear? I don't even necessarily want something "women's specific" I want some comfortable that fits?

help me!!!!

I have a Hex and it's no problem with a low pony tail. The way the helmet sits on my head I don't have to thread my hair through the roc lock or anything.

Sorry that's not much help, but just shows that really there is no substitue for trying loads on as what works for you obviously isn't going to be the same as what works for me.

I ride in a Giro Pneumo (sp?) and it is perfect as I can thread a high ponytail through it.  But this is a road helmet so might not be what you want, from the helmets you have looked at.  Just get to lots of shops and try as many as possible on!

i have a women-specific Giro Skyla which fits a high ponytail.

I wear a Giro pneumo for road riding and a Bell sweep XC for mtb - both have a ponytail loop which to put a high pontail through. I used to have a Giro E2 which also accomodated a high ponytail but I now prefer the locking system on the Bell helmet.

I also know a bloke with long hair and he wears a specialised 2D with a ponytail.
