I am currently looking for a non-novice cycling buddy, someone who I can meet the in the evenings during the week or for long distance cycle rides on the weekends.

I really want to try and keep my fitness up over the winter period but I know I am going to find it hard doing so by myself.

I live in South East London but am willing to travel if not too far to met.

Let me know if anyone is interested in joining me?

Steph

Oh and some folk - Quest (I think) do / did women's ride's every now and then on the South Downs.  Might be worth a shot as well.

HI, I just saw your ad. I live in the West Kent area and am looking for someone to get out with. I'm not hard core (yet) (although have done Sevenoaks to Paris and Budapest to Bucharest this year) but I'm fairly new to the South East and looking for girly cycling buddies.

Preference is for mountain biking but I'm happy to do road as well.

Hope to hear from you.

Hi there

can i draw your attention to www.kentvelogirls.co.uk - we are a new (June this year) all girls cycling club - we currently run 4 rides a week from beginner/rusty on mountain bikes to intermediate and full on road rides. Rides are in the week and at the weekend.

We are having our club time trial over 10 miles this sunday (members only).

it is a very inclusive group - everyone is welcomed and supported and there is something for everyone-

we would be delighted to welcome you on any of our rides.

 See you soon!

Hey steph!

I'm in SE London too - not far from Greenwich. I'd be interested in organising some rides as I generally end up following the same routh along the Thames, or being stuck riding along boring routes with traffic!

Try London Phoenix (google it, can't remember their website offhand), it's a mixed club but with loads of women members, they do everything from road to MTB, social to racing.  Members based all over London.

Might be worth a trip to Herne Hill velodrome on a Saturday morning too, see who's around there's always lots of people there for the training sessions, various different clubs represented (HH velodrome is off Burbage Road at the Dulwich Village end of it, not too far from Herne Hill station).
