Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations for good quality waterproof or very water resistant and breathable trousers, either full length or three-quarter length - womens specific.

I like the Endura Singletrack but don't think they do them in womens sizes.  Tried a mens "small" but they were still way too big.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

i use my walking ones- can't see any different really bar no reflective bits.

They are Marmot Pricep's. (womens)

Think they were £35ish in the sale? they are teh half zip versions but i don't have to take my shoes off when putting them on. Never had a problem with waterproofness and there as breathable as any other proper branded waterproof i've had.

have a look on a few outdoor sites: outside, nevissport, elisbrigham, cccoutdoors etc

I've got some running ones from OMM that I use (OMM Kamelika pants) - they're small mens ones I think but they're designed to be really fitted so there isn't any fabric flapping around!

I have waterproof trousers, but never wear them because they are too hot.

I wear my Endura Superlite Waterproof Shorts all the time unless it's really hot. They are mens shorts, I'm a 10 and the small are baggy, but fine on me.

The best ones I've found are getting army surplus and cutting them short - cheap and work well. I also have some great Loeka water resistant shorts (come a little below the knee) from Minx.

Thanks guys, I'm going to check out all the links you have sent.  Maybe long shorts or 3/4 length would be the way to go.  I have tried lightweight waterproof overtrousers but they are just too hot once you get going on the bike.

I cannot bear riding in waterproof trousers so I bought waterproof shorts, the Gore womens specific ones, I've just worn them ound wales for a week and they are great.  I wrote a review about them here.

The only place that I know that sells the womens ones are the moment is Evans.

Just had a look at your review Trio and those shorts look really good.  Do you happen to know how the sizing comes up as it seems to vary a lot accross the different brands.

Well done on the Trans Wales, that's a very impressive result!

Well I got medium and they are now a little big as I lost some weight with training for transwales.  But they perfect for a size 12.  I'm now probably a 10 and they don't fall down, as I say I wore them a lot last week.  they are a lot of money but they are a great investment and better than mens shorts that are the wrong cut!  If you are a member of the ctc you can get 10% off at evans.
