Hi,

I am new to this site and posted a 'thread' a week or so ago. I've had no replies - so wondering if I got it wrong!

Basically I cycle on the road (perhaps more of you are into MTB?) around Leicestershire. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that lives in this part of the country that is interested in joining me on training rides. It would be nice to have somone to share the headwind with and to actually see another cyclist!

I'm also looking to do the Coast to Coast next month and wondered if anyone else is interested in doing it (you don't have to be from Leicestershire). Or if anyone has done the C2C and has any tips.

Please reply - I'm feeling lonely!

Tracy.

Pootle, still waiting for you to post about Cannock Chase again, everytime time someone arranges that I am working . I am hoping though there will be another ride there soon..!!!

28th is good for me too....although i went to cannock and was severly bored yesterday, its just not muddy enough!, trail is ok but its like a concrete path in the trees, where are the gnarly roots and mud!!??

Any midlanders that want to ride www.midland-mountainbikers.co.uk  Tracey i live in Rugby, and mostly ride on the road...happy to have someone else to ride with...

Thanks for the replies. Really pleased there are some potential buddies out there!

I live in Arnesby, South Leics. Easy to get to Lutterworth or South Kilworth - so could be a good place to meet for a ride to the south or east for the two of you that are Rugby based. I cycle circular routes including to the east -Medbourne, North - Belton in Rutland, always looking for more routes to ride.

Coalville is a bit far but if you can get out this way Colette then great - my time is limited so I try to avoid having to drive somewhere first.

I guess I mesage you direct now to set up a ride?

P.s. Isn't the Olympic Cycling awesome!

Just jumping in on the Cannock bit here - we went yesterday with friends that know the area really well - stayed well away from the follow the dog route and it was fab - loads of twisty techy (and muddy!) singletrack and did not see another soul.  Would highly recommend it as the Dog gets a bit boring when you have been round it as many times as I have recently!

The group we rode with are regularly there on a Sunday, all abilities welcome (One of their wives has only recently started riding off road) - we shall be sure to go again soon so drop me a line if you fancy it!

hi

I have just joined the forum too, you encouraged me when I saw your post.  I live fairly close to you near Lutterworth. I am mainly a roadie too, although I have done a bit of easy off road.  It would be great to meet up and put in a few miles.
