Anyone know how Sidi shoes size up? I'm looking at some Sidi Bullets, I have Spesh road shoes in a size 40, normal shoes I'm a 38/39 (5.5 in UK sizes). I don't like the look of the Spesh mtb shoes as much as the Sidi and with a Wiggle voucher not a lot in it price wise. Just don't know how they size up, anybody out there got a pair?

i have a pair of Sidi bullets (WSD pair) that I use for summer riding in size 37. In normal shoes, I also take a size 37 and they fit perfectly on my feet. However if you want to use them for winter riding with a pair of Sealskins waterproof socks underneath, I would advise you to go up a size.

I believe Sidi usually come up a size smaller than others.

Thanks for the advice, I think I might have to find a stockist and have a try on!

Sidi shoes are fantastic, can't think of a local stockist, but I'm sure there must be one. MK cycles might stock them, give them a ring. They are very roadie but the road shoes would give you an idea of size.

Yeah lack of a local stockist is a problem I've googled all the usual suspects, like you say a road shoe try on would give me a size pointer. I'll end up either just risking it on the Wiggle ones knowing I can return them or opting for the spesh ones like you've got which I do quite like, but the mtb version of the road ones I've got (does that make sense) well they look like old person slippers, and the meshy/sudey bit looks like one good mud ride and it's be game over. Knowing how comfy the spesh ones are is plus for spesh. Tis tricky!

I had the same problem as I didnt want to order any without having tried them on.. SIDI have a shore sizing chart on their US website you can print off and stand on ..!!.. it was surprisingly accurate! http://www.sidiusa.com/contents/en-us/SIDIShoeSizer.pdf AW cycles in Caversham have some womens styles in stock but I wanted the Dominator 5 so i ordered online and they fitted perfectly. I am a 4.5 wide foot.. I have Specialized shoes size 38 and I got a size 39 SIDI which technically is a size 6... they come up very narrow so although mine are a wee bit long I couldnt have had them any smaller or they would have squished my feet. Also I ordered them from ChainReaction and they said they would exchange them if they didnt fit... it does seem that not many shops stock the SIDI shoes in Womens styles though... and they come up small so order a size bigger is good advice

Cheers Elaine, I'll print that off!

I normally take a size 36 in normal shoes and in shimano cycling shoes. I have both sidi mtb (dominator 5) and road shoes (genius 5) and wear a size 37. My partner also has sidi cycling shoes and takes a size up from what he wears in normal shoes. Sidi also do their shoes in 2 widths - they do a wide version of most of their shoes if you find them too narrow. As far as I can see Chin reaction stock the largest range of sidi shoes and in a large range of sizes.

Jumbly I know Ros B had the mtb version of your road shoes and found that they were fine in mud, I had the same concerns as you! I love my spesh shoes, really get on with the sizing. But Sidi shoes are meant to be the best!

Hey guys, I am also currently thinking about buying some Sidi bullet mtb shoes but have no idea what size to buy. I have printed off that sizing chart and I come up as a size 41 even though I am normally 39. I would have gone for a 40 but now I am not sure. Have you found any stockists yet Jumbly? I have looked at the Sidi website and there is supposedly a shop in Bolton that stocks them - George Smith Cycles - either of you any idea about where this shop is? As for the spesh shoes - I haven't found the suede/ mesh thing an issue at all. They clean up really well and I like the mesh because it means they are breathable. The only problem that i have found is in races when it is really muddy - they don't have studs so are pretty slippery.

Oh and I am still selling my Northwave shiver mtb shoes in case anyone is interested - only worn once - I realised that they were too big for me. Size 40. RRP £75 and I am after £50.

I can't think where George Smith Cycles is, Trio knows Bolton a bit better then me, she might know.
Is it Geoff Smith Cycles, bit of google and I've found them on St Helens Road, nothing on their website about SIDI shoes though.
Oops yes, Geoff Smith. The problem with the list of stockists is that they may just stock road shoes and may or may not have women's shoes. I haven't found a decent bike shop with lots of different women's bike shoes in stock. The one in Ambleside is pretty good but a bit far to travel just to buy some shoes.

Evans in Manchester didn't have a bad selection when I got my road shoes. I'm tempted to pop in there just for a look and a try on of what they've got even if I don't buy from them.
I might pop in tomorrow as I am in Manchester town hall for a meeting. Think it is really close by. They only seem to have shimano and sepcialised shoes though. No sidi ones.
Yes no sidi ones at evans. Even if it is a roadie shoe you try on will give you an idea of sizing. My spesh shoes have studs for racing, not that they helped much at hit the north!
Question for you Trio - your spesh shoes - how do you find the rachet system? Do you ever find it difficult to undo? It is just that i have seen Molly get her feet stuck in her shoes before because they were clogged up with mud!
Ros, Evans in Manchester didn't have any Spesh Motodiva in a 40 (had 39 and 41) not sure what size you'd need. I tried the Northwave ones on in a 40 in case they fitted me and I could have bought yours but too big for me. They were the only 2 they had in that had good grippy soles that could take a stud. Same question to Trio re the ratchet system before I contemplate ordering the spesh online, they seemed fiddly enough in the shop never mind adding in cold hands and mud? That's why the SIDI bullets appeal, just velcro to deal with.
