Pootle - K8to's warm up sounds like fun!

TH - do come along to cheer us on. Gavin will be around and he isn't racing so would probably like some company.

Surely Gavin will be very busy Ros doing pit support?

Don't think we're coming down this year, so good luck everyone.

So, any survivors then?

Not sure I've ever seen mud that bad before (and I wasn't even riding!) so hats off if you kept it going through all of that.

Ros, treehuger, Julie Grr and Mrs Dolittle battled through and I believe finished 3rd, I'm looking forward to hearing about their race.

Well done to all that battled through all that mud and rain.

Mr Pootle rear derailleur snapped off his bike,

Wow what happened Sinead?
Show/hide user stats
was doing ok, extra skinny tyres so not clogging problems...but very sketchy at speed, got a speed wobble and got thrown off, foot kinda went under me into back wheel. stuck on sofa today, cant get any shoes on...oh and sulking

Well done to the 'gritty Kittys' for their effort in what seemed like really bad conditions.

Mind you they have had lots of muddy race practice over the last year or so.

Show/hide user stats
It wasn't even proper mud...clay more like!  And with 2.1s on - clogging was a serious issue!  Such a shame the course didn't stand up well enough.  At least it felt like a true test of 'endurance'!  Well done to everyone who percivered

Hi guys, well the Gritty Kittys did battle through all that mud and finished 3rd which we were pretty pleased with. Things got really tough in the middle of the night with Treehugger's 2 hr 45 mins lap being the worst! Finding motivation to go back out into the mud after that was difficult but we managed it and even had a couple of fast ish laps at the end. I think we did a total of 14 laps in the end. Mud tyres were an absolute god send, I couldn't believe the difference it made.
