Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a women's cyclocross bike in the UK? The only women's specific version that I can find is from Luna, who are US based and very expensive! I'm 5ft, so getting a bloke's cyclocross bike isn't really an option.

Any suggestions???

I am 5ft 3" and found it hard to get a cyclocross bike to fit.

The Kona jake the snkaes go down to a 49cm frame but then they seem to be quite long - top tube length of 53cm so that ruled them out for me.

The Ridleys go down to a 48cm frame but again the top tube is quite long - but the Crossbow does come in a XXS 41cm frame as a special order - hmmmm nice!

The Trek X01 I also goes down to a47cm frame but again you need to look at the geometry.

Or you could go custom from Paul Milnes.

I originally bought an Islabike - the luath 700 which was a good fit but it is a kids bike and does have its limitations for an adult.

I eventually replaced it with a Pinnacle Expede in a size small and made some modifications - womens bars, de-shimanod it and replaced it with campag, short stem and short cranks and a decent saddle!

The Surly cross-check isn't womens specific but goes very small so might be worth a look. Bicycle Doctor in Manchester are a surly dealer if you're based in the north and are very helpful.

Quite a few small women go for the Islabikes.

At just over 5'1 I have a Specialized Tricross size small which is fine for general riding could do with being a bit smaller if I wanted to race on it though, I'm not sure if they go smaller.

Remember that mens cross specific bikes generally have a shorter reach anyway which may be of help.

To be honest you might find hand built is as cheaper and a quicker option than trying to find something to suit, they are not as expensive as you think.
