Promted by the 'what to eat after a ride' thread I thought I'd post this.
I've been having real problems keeping myself fuelled while out on a long ride. Sort of thing I'm thinking of is the 3-4 hour ride time. I need to eat something to keep me going but I don't seem to be able to digest it and errr well I lose anything I've just eaten
Apologies for being gross
I've tried gels, sports drinks, dried fruit, cereal bars, loads of different things but as soon as I start to exert myself then I get queasy. I'm not sure if it's a dehydration issue and it's OK if I eat and then do a down hill section but if I have to climb then any fuel is immediately rejected.
I have noticed that when I run or road cycle then my heart rate is pretty steady but with MTB it's all over the place.
Any ideas/help appreciated.
Thanks
Caro
