I'm planning to lead a ride as title. Meeting at Marple train station. Mostly easy straightforward stuff with some ups and rocky downs. Probably slowish pace with plenty of stops. About 3 hours depending on pace. Thinking about a Sunday-maybe beginning of June. Anyone up for this? Partners are welcome as long as they understand it maybe slower than they're used to.

Yes please - me Slow and plenty of stops is right up my street! And I live around 5 miles south of Marple at the moment, but haven't got to explore locally yet, too busy pedalling round Manchester with work. Can't do 8th June - oh, nor the next Sunday.....could do 1st June...but don't set a date just for me
.jpg) I'd love to come and try somewhere different. Sounds good. I can do the 8th..but that's the only Sunday I can do at beginning of June so don't worry if more people can make another date. Like Jen J don't set a date just for me!

Hi Mrs NBT - I'll come and join you if I am around. Can do the 1st but not the 8th June.
Hello girls, Shall we aim for the 1st June ( sorry Sam). Any more takers?
I'll check the calendar, might be up for it.
Great - I'll be there 1st June - what time are you thinking of? It's about six miles ride for me to get there up the Middlewood Way - oh and up and over the hill to Marple station
.jpg) No worries. Always another time. Have fun
Love to come. Could I bring Robinn??
Trio and Treehugger, it really would be great to see you again.( is Ali coming too?). I was thinking about 11.00a.m, but that can be changed to suit the majority. Jen- we'll be going along the Middlewood way as part of the ride. so you'll be familiar. I think we better say 3-4 hours.
To clarify. 1st. June at 11.00. Marple Railway staion carpark ( not Rose Hill).
We can't make it we'll be down in Cambridge. Really be good to see you again soon Mrs NBT so hopefully you'll organise another ride soon.

Possibly, am getting fitter, but advancing pregnancy may limit me. Went for my first ride in ages last week end - 5 miles/45 mins on bridleways around home and have agreed to a week end in Kielder this week end. I'm sure I should be lording it up on the sofa, but no, I am going camping! I'll have to see how I feel after trying longer rides this weekend, but would be ace to see you. And PS - I did change my name and am now Alice Cooper!
 Hopefully!
Great Alice. You look after yourself. If you can come out with us there are 1 or 2 cut off ponts if you're struggling. The hills are long and gentle rather then short and steep. Dominique- hope to see you too. We'll have a headcount nearer the day.

Hello I might be able to make this and would like to, my pace is definitely sociable ( but I am faster than I was last week, I just feel bad leaving Mr M behind). He may be off to the demo at Rivington in order to check out new bikes so he can get rid of the Stiffee for something less rude sounding. If he is, I am unlikely to come as i don't drive and the 24 miles just to get there and come home again makes me a bit wibbly and the train is out thanks to a rail replacement bus. If you know of a shorter route I can ride from Jackson's boat to Marple that would be superb
Hello Steph. Yes that is a bit of a long ride from you neck of the woods to Marple. If Andrew doesn't go to the demo he's welcome to join us. The only way to do it, is to get on the trans Penine trail from Didsbury to Stockport. Then from Stockport to Marple is mainly on road and is mostly uphill. See what you think. Let me know nearer the time.
Yuck to uphill to get there ! Just batted my eyelashes at Andrew and he'll give me a lift there ! Don't think he'll be joining us though.
Steph. If you can get yourself to Hale I can give you a lift...
I can probably get to Hale via the canal and then a quick nip through Altrincham or something. I'll work it out and let you know. Thanks so much !
