I'm planning on a quick whizz around the Dog on the morning of the 25th as I have the day off work (it's a pre holiday day off!). Just thought I'd post in case anyone fancies joining me

Could do the afternoon only MsG (I clock off at 1pm on Fridays).. Let me know if you're flexible (not in a double-jointed kinda way), but if not, thanks for the thought anyway.

Morning pref for me but what time could you be there for Caroline? I gotta be back in Birmingham by 4.30 latest for an appointment you see
Earliest at CC would be 1.45. Can do the route in app. 55 mins (before they extended it a bit, so prob an hour I guess). No pressure though (understand re: getting changed / cleaned / driving etc), am sure there'll be plenty other opportunities.. Also can decide later on, am easy-going.

I am going there this friday/sat/sun?? you off then?

Not around this week-end, but so far still up for the 25th.

I'll be up for this don't mind what time, I have the day off. never been to Cannock before - what's it like?

Ay up girl, I could ride Follow the Dog with my eyes closed by now! It's a good blast, can be done in about 55 mins and then at speed it's good fun. There are a few quite narrow sections between trees with a few berms thrown in, one short North Shore section though I only dare mentionin this to you virtually no climb, and the new section they've added has a good few jumps. All in all I'd say something you definitely gotta try, though perhaps it'd get a bit far for you to come back to often.. It's a fairly regular haunt of mine as about 50mins down the road, and usually my 'no other ride this week-end' kind of option. Beside FTD, there are loads of unmarked trails but it's a maze and I don't think there's much technical/fun bits. Then they've just completed a DH circuit which I'm dying to try with someone in the know - am working on this. Gonna have to move a sparky appointment if we make it in the afternoon, I've doubled-booked myself Doh. If you and MissG prefer morning, feel free girls to go without me.

Well I can prob be there 11-12, could do one curcuit with K8to and then meet Caroline a bit later? Am just aware I need to be back in Brum by 4.30 and the m6 can be a pig on a Friday.....
you are right about it being a maze, we did a 17.5 mile route that i made up on memory map on the friday and and used my Garmin GPS to follow, would of been well and truly lost without it(and still had to use paper map too!) have fun on friday everyone, i am off to Catton enduro 6..
Will be at Swinnerton cycles at 1.30 girls.. MissG, I'll email you my mobile number. See ya there

arrrghh Am at home with a bloody cold. I've got Lemsip coming out of my ears but even then I would need a small miracle to be fit enough for tomorrow. Am gutted, was really looking forward to ride with you girls, plus it looks decent weather. Sorry, we'll have to plan one again. Have a great time, I'm sure you will.
