just noticing a LOT of DIYing going on around here. I'm managing to avoid mine, after a four month marathon of building works totally put me off for life! I'd rather work more hours, to earn more money, to pay someone to do it! yeah. Don't seem to managing that either though!!

Anyone NOT doing DIY this weekend??

OK I confess - only since last Friday - but could be for the next three or four months - it seems to be cheaper then renting somewhere in South Manchester - but it was very difficult fitting my life into a van!!

the day i start DIYing i will have to admit i am a responsible adult... so will not be for some time

i do vicarious DIY thanks to our neighbours, who have been at it for in one case 2 years, and the other 4 months. Neither is encouraging me to start somehow...

half way through 2 rooms:

gutted the bathroom few months ago, just need to paint and tile the floor now

stripped off old wallpaper, have now done the base coat to the hall/landing, just need to paint properly and get new carpets

i hate diy- its been a year since we moved in and still not finished ( whole house needed decorating completely )

think of me when your all riding on sunday, painting a bathroom somewhere in sheffield!

Enjoy DIY, gardening ,and cutting logs,

But HATE HOUSEWORK ,especially with an open fireplace and too cats, one being very hairy.

I have never stayed in to catch up on housework and  missed a day   outdoors

definitely mrs doolittle, especially if it involved power tools such as a hand held or cordless blender

opening bottles of wine is also clearly DIY, as you can always buy a better gadget to do it with...

We have 2 rooms half complete, bedroom and dining room.  The woman we bought off had some 'interesting' tastes....so interesting my bf spent the first couple of days armed with a crow bar and a mallet!

He's now gone and bought 2 big pots of paint so it would appear I won't be cycling this weekend - oh well weather is supposed to be naff anyway (better be!!!)

I'm known to cut down anything and use it as fire wood,

Only if its free though
